A FEW THINGS UP.

ESTIMATES & SCOPE

How much will my project cost?

Every project includes a flat $250 mobilization charge. Stump size and count, the amount of growth, property access, and the cleanup you want help shape the rest of the estimate. Send your project details or call us for a free estimate.

What information helps you prepare an estimate?

Send your project address, photos, and a short description of the work. For stumps, include the width of each stump from root to root, or edge to edge if no roots are visible. For clearing, describe the approximate area and what you want to keep.

What should I confirm before booking?

Review the area to be worked on, the plants or features to keep, access, cleanup, and timing. Ask us to clarify any part of the estimate, including wood chip or debris removal, so the work matches your plans.

STUMP GRINDING

How deep do you grind stumps?

Most stumps are ground four to six inches below the surface. If you’re planning construction or planting, let us know so we can discuss deeper grinding and the needs of your project.

What happens to the wood chips?

Grinding creates wood chips. They can stay on site for use as mulch, or we can discuss removal if you prefer. Tell us your cleanup preference when requesting an estimate.

Can you help with several stumps at once?

Yes. Include the number of stumps, their approximate widths, and photos when you contact us. Mention any stumps near fences, buildings, or other features so we can discuss access.

LAND, BRUSH & ACCESS

What types of clearing projects do you handle?

We offer land clearing, brush clearing, brush hogging, and work along fence lines, trails, and property boundaries. Tell us whether you want to reclaim an overgrown area, improve access, or prepare space for another project.

Do you work on larger or commercial properties?

Yes. We work on residential and commercial properties in Fort Wayne and Allen County, including larger clearing projects, pastures, fence lines, and trails. Send your location and project scope to get started.

What if access is tight or the ground is uneven?

Send photos of the route into the work area, gates, slopes, and any obstacles. Include gate widths if you know them. We’ll discuss the site conditions and access before the work is scheduled.

How do land clearing and brush clearing differ?

Land clearing focuses on opening up an area for its next use. Brush clearing targets overgrown vegetation in a particular patch, lot, or property edge. Tell us your goals so we can agree on the area, what stays, and the work required.

Does land clearing include stump removal, hauling, or grading?

The estimate will spell out the agreed clearing work and finish. Stump grinding, hauling, grading, and other extra work are quoted separately. Let us know what you need before booking so those items can be discussed.

Can you clear around trees or plants I want to keep?

Identify the trees, plants, and other features you want to preserve. We’ll review the project limits and access with you before confirming the work.

What should I include for a fence line or trail estimate?

Send photos, the approximate length, the width you need, and the route or boundary to follow. Identify fences, gates, trees to keep, and any access problems. Trail cutting has an instant estimated range for suitable ground; fence line work receives a quote based on its scope.

BRUSH HOGGING

What is brush hogging used for?

Brush hogging cuts tall grass, weeds, and light vegetation in fields, pastures, and overgrown areas. Send photos of the growth and ground so we can confirm whether it fits your project.

How is brush hogging different from brush clearing?

Brush hogging cuts vegetation above the ground to help maintain an area. Woody, dense growth or a project that needs more vegetation removed may call for brush or land clearing. We’ll review your photos and goals before recommending the scope.

Will brush hogging remove stumps or roots?

Brush hogging does not remove stumps or roots. Point out any known stumps and obstacles. If you want stump grinding or additional clearing, include that in your estimate request.

Can I request repeat brush hogging?

Yes. We offer brush hogging service contracts with 6, 9, or 12 month terms. Fixed pricing is available for an agreed service schedule and scope. We confirm the property, visit frequency, included work, and contract price with you before the contract begins.

TRAIL CUTTING

Can you open a new trail or reclaim an existing one?

We offer trail cutting for new routes and overgrown paths. Send the intended route, approximate length and width, photos, and how you want to use it. We’ll review the vegetation and access before confirming the work.

How wide should my trail be?

Tell us whether the route is for walking, property maintenance, or another use. The calculator starts with a 12-foot corridor and lets you enter a width from 6 to 20 feet. The final width and suitability are agreed after reviewing your property.

Does trail cutting include grading, gravel, or drainage?

The estimated range covers vegetation cutting along the agreed corridor. Grading, gravel, drainage, stump grinding, hauling, and other construction work are separate items to discuss in your estimate. The result depends on the ground and the finish you request.

What should I mark before trail cutting?

Identify the route, property limits, trees to keep, buried lines, fences, and known obstacles. Resolve any uncertain boundaries and arrange required utility marking before ground disturbance.

INSTANT PRICING

Which projects can I estimate online?

The instant pricing calculator gives ranges for land and brush clearing with medium growth, brush hogging with light or medium growth, and trail cutting with light or medium growth. All assume mostly level ground and open equipment access. Dense growth, other terrain, restricted access, and fence line projects need a quote. Stump grinding is estimated separately.

Is the calculator price a final quote?

It is an estimated range based on the size and conditions you enter. We review the scope, photos, access, ground conditions, and finish before confirming a final quote.

How does pricing change with the size of the job?

Your estimate reflects the area to clear or the length and width of a trail. A minimum work charge applies to smaller jobs, and each project includes a flat $250 mobilization charge. The calculator shows the applicable charges in your estimate.

Is the $250 mobilization charge included?

Yes. The displayed instant estimated total includes one flat $250 equipment mobilization charge per project. It does not increase with acreage. For projects needing a quote, the calculator shows that charge separately while the work price is reviewed.

What does the calculator leave out?

Stump grinding, hauling, grading, and other extra work are quoted separately. Tell us about debris, cleanup, and your plans for the finished area so the final scope includes what you need.

How do I request an estimate from my calculator result?

Select “Get my project estimate” after viewing your result. Your service, size, and site choices carry into the request form. Add your contact details and submit the form on the website. You can also call or text us project details and photos.

SCHEDULING & COMMUNICATION

What happens after I request an estimate?

We’ll contact you to discuss the work, property access, and your goals. Photos and measurements help start the conversation. A property visit may be needed to understand the job before confirming the scope and timing.

How long will the work take?

Timing depends on the size of the area, the number of stumps, the amount of growth, and access. We’ll discuss a timeline as part of your estimate. Let us know if you have a deadline for a follow-up project.

What if weather or my plans change?

Weather and ground conditions can affect the timing of outdoor work. Contact us if your availability or project plans change so we can discuss the schedule and next steps.

PREPARING YOUR PROPERTY

How should I prepare the work area?

Point out the work area and anything you want to keep. Let us know about fences, irrigation, septic systems, and other obstacles. Discuss gate access, move personal items out of the work area, and plan to keep pets away while work is underway.

What about underground utilities?

Tell us about known buried lines before work begins and confirm who will arrange any required marking. Indiana 811 coordinates marking for member utilities; private lines may need a separate locator. Review Indiana 811’s homeowner guidance before work that disturbs the ground.

How do we decide what stays and what gets cleared?

Show us the project limits and identify trees, plants, fences, or other features you want to preserve. If a boundary is uncertain, resolve it before work begins. Photos or a marked plan can help explain your goals.

Can I combine clearing with another property project?

Tell us how you plan to use the space, whether for a garden, a fence, a trail, or a larger project. That helps us discuss the clearing area, stump depth, cleanup, and timing with your next step in mind.
